Films Across Borders: Stories of Resilience and Hope

Films Across BordersÌýshowcases critically acclaimed films, documentaries and shorts from around the world. Co-presented by American University in partnership with embassy cultural organizations, arts institutions and environmental groups, the series focuses on a distinctive timely and compelling theme each year.

Now in its sixth year,ÌýFilms Across BordersÌýpresents ‘Stories of Resilience and Hope.’ The 2020 cinematic series features stories of humans and wildlife -- and the harrowing and heartfelt challenges they face to survive and triumph in all corners of the world. PreviousÌýFilms Across BordersÌýseries have focused on ‘Stories of Water’ (2019); ‘Stories of Women’ (2018); and ‘’ (2017).

We are pleased to share that the 2020 series will be offered in a virtual format. ÌýEnjoy film screenings, discussions with filmmakers and topical speakers. ÌýAvailable to all in October through December.ÌýCheck each listing for specific details,Ìýincluding if there are any geographic restrictions, as someÌýmayÌýfilms have limited release.
